Mine has not started well, I put ponies out as normal, I needed to fill up water in field did this but this made me a bit later than normal but no worries, I would still make it home on time to catch train, then left the yard was driving home got about 3 miles from the yard and my brain went you didn’t turn the water off, panic stations, I had to turn the car around drive back run to the field and check, of course I turned it off. So now really late but still enough time.

Got to train station, fab, all in time, then realised I had forgotten my bag with fruit/snacks in (please note fruit not just chocolate mentioned) had train pass but the meant would be hungry until lunchtime, now tummy telling me food food, FOOD, so anyway that’s my morning how about yours??

well my horse went out in his normal "happy (mad)" way, i turned him out in the field, turning him round before letting off or he will just go, and instead of just going like he normally does he decided to spin back round and come straight out of the gate with me

! Had to spend the next 20 mins trying to catch him, eventually the bucket of feed won him over and he came into his field! Crappy start to the day!

Presumably, no bags means no money, but maybe could borrow some money from a coworker so you don't have to starve

My monrning wasn't brilliant, either. Another wet day here, and my field is slowly turning into a bog, so looks that this weekend I'll evenutally have to give in and start bringing them in

Poor stressy youngster with suspensory injury doesn't do stabling and frets no end so not much fun.

Today was my first early morning to go sort out my boy as he'd been stabled over night due to him getting a bit attacked the night before. Also was going fine, until I slipped on the muck heap and got covered!! Not something I intend to repeat again any time soon lol

Had a crappy morning too!

I went for my second solo hack on my mare, who naps and spooks and everything else. She was snaking down the lane when I dropped my phone! So had to get off, couldn't get back on because of lots of scary things near us so i dragged her over the bridge and got back on in a layby (where a huge van was parked) and she just kept backing into it, so of fear that she was going to damage it I got off again and then took her a few metres further up the lane and got back on! (which is hard enough in itself getting on from the ground!) she then was napping but we managed to go forwards as such (wanted to ride her further than my first solo hack) and then took her home, which she marched at speed... Then spent way too long down the yard and was an hour! (yes hour) late for work!

Oh well.xx

I have had a very trying morning.

I forgot about a breakfast meeting at work and went riding instead (flexi start time). Got an irate phone call from boss at 8am who was less than amused to hear neighing in the background

.

Then elderly pony did a runner and went for a jolly in the woods. His best friend then jumped out to 'help'

. My mare got herself in a tizz about everyone jumping out and started choking on her hay, went to rub her throat and got covered in globby bits then she sneezed right in my face.

Rushed home to change and grabbed what I thought was cottage cheese for lunch, it is in fact double cream... FML.

well some idiotic workmen left field gate open and the horses all escaped onto the road.Fortunately none got injured and we managed to retrieve all of them.On top of that I got headbutted in the face and now have a very bruised cheek and nose.

came down to yard at 715 to find a pond in front of stable, luckily the 6 sandbags i put in front of my stable the night before had done the trick. Unblocked drain, cleared pond, mucked out, watered, fed, went to work and watched it absolutely chuck it down all day knowing im going to find another small lake in front of stable tonight. Ahh the joys. Field is like lake, pony has armbands on and hasnt seen a blade of grass for a week and winter has only just begun

got phone call off lady that owns the field i keep the 3 babies in, theyve destroyed 9 bales of haylage. can i sort it out.
spent 2 hours sat in field drying bales of haylage to bale tape them backtogether, with a towel to dry bales so the tape sticks (!!!! surely there are better jobs than this!) , in between torrential rain soaking me to the skin.
weaned mare and foal.
foal climbs out of pen (5'6'' gate!)
put up sheeting to prevent re-occurance!
foal climbs out under gate (limbo expert!)
have to sheet gate up with straw bales. realise not put water in pen!
redo last half hour of work!
trap finger in gate (Now various shades of purple/black)
go to field, catch babies, attempt to walk thro another field and load onto wagon (!!) get REALLY wet feet again.
drive home, have to back (large) wagon up twice for people who cant reverse cars,
put babies in pen, finish off 10, feed, drive home in torrential rain.

currently sat down with bottle of jacques!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
