After ripping two premier equine fly rugs and one zebra fly rug the chance to buy a second hand fly rug with a different type of material came up.

It was only £15 with plenty of room over the chest so wasn't clingy like the last one and it was a lot lighter in weight.

I felt we were onto a winner with this design. 🤞But just to make sure I liberally sprayed it with 'chew stopper' which is a bitter spray designed to stop puppies chewing furniture as he pulls at the front with his teeth until they rip!

So imagine finding this less than 12 hours after first putting it on! He looked so smug! 😬 it's a good job I love him!!

Yes, I have one that does this. Thankfully he doesn't need a fly rug. He only ever gets a rug on in horizontal sleet. He's taught me quite a lot about how warm horses can be in very cold weather!
