I was working today but OH witnessed the post and rail fence between summer and winter grazing being blown over. We've lost 8 posts. Wind speed was around 80mph according to the local weather station.

Thank God ponies were turned out in the school at the time.

Our neighbours at the top of the hill lost a tree that fell in to the road.

I think a few telegraph poles were lost locally too and the village below us had a power cut.

Winds are dying down now but we have another storm forecast from tomorrow afternoon.

Quite a lot of damage at my friends yard outside Inverness, and trees down everywhere. Her yard lost three wooden and brick stables, which damaged a high farm building roof in passing. Plus three field shelters ruined (canvas type). Horses all ok.

Neighbour's guttering blew down, a friend just missed having her windscreen shattered by a flying gate and our shelter roof has developed a 'flap', which we are hoping to get sorted before the next round hits. Fortunately all living beings ok.

My hay bell blew and part of it smashed (wasn't tied down as had a bale inside it and assumed that was enough plus I hadn't kept an eye on weather and had no idea storm was coming in).

Friends caravan moved forward about 5 feet but is OK and just missed hitting her horse trailer.

My mum lost a few tiles on her roof but thankfully they bounced off without causing damage.

Just discovered half the tackroom door missing.

Top paddock fencing is in tact though so ponies are turned out and happy which is the main thing.

Glad everyone is OK.

Loads more trees down including one that took out a bit post and rail it’s in a summer paddock so not huge issue but it’s a bit much because we are still tackling the storm Arwen trees .We have now not much short of forty trees waiting to be cut up
Loads of fencing trees blown down out and about including a huge and very lovely beech in the village which has pulled down a huge garden wall .
The wind blew the shavings from the muck heap about and they went under the sliding door so the internal stables are full of shavings it looks like we have not swept a floor in six months .
Have not been to see the damage at the other houses the security cameras are not working so somethings wrong .
I am off to muck out and then go down there .
Beautiful day today .

High winds in London yesterday. Sheeting on next door's scaffolding billowed out against our wall dislodging the capping stone. Neighbour came round and fixed the sheeting himself to prevent further damage and says his builders will fix our wall tomorrow.
