Anyone else suffer with their eyes?

I've given up wearing contact lenses now and either walk round the yard and ride half blind or get dusty glasses! But every time I groom, change rugs or do the haynets I'm left with really itchy watering eyes for a couple of hours and its driving me mad. Does anyone else suffer like this and has anyone tried an itchy eye spray?
 
hayfever eye drops would probly be better for you they are very good i use them everyday all year round (and a nasal spray and a prescription antihystamine) dont use sprays or drops with contacts tho without checking they wont melt them in ur eyes! :eek:
 
:eek::eek::eek: lol you do need to be careful . have you ever tried the wetting drops for contact wearers ? they are very good for comfort from dust etc
 
No, I went for an eye test and contact lens fitting yesterday and the optician just said take out my lens when going up the yard and out every night to clean them. She didn't mention drops and I forgot to ask.
 
"Blink" do lots of different drops for eyes and are contact-lense friendly, so you can just pop them in to refresh / soothe your eyes without taking your lenses out - I use them all the time and they are fab! Optrex do some too x
 
I gave up my contacts for the same reason. I found them so itchy and I'd be getting rid of them to put my glasses on. Seemed pointless to keep them as I spend most of my time at the yard!
I much prefer riding in my glasses although I do end up blind when they steam up in the rain/cold!
 
I find my daily disposables lenses seem to protect against dust and irritation, I only wear them in my left eye as have no useful sight in the right eye. When I left the yard today the eye without the lens was itchy and irritable and watery and the other was fine.

I might be that your lenses are too high water content, that means you need wet eyes to wear them. Because I am older, my eyes have dried out and I have just changed to about the lowest water content and they are comfortable again.


There are so many different kinds of lenses that it is worth being fussy and getting ones that are really comfortable.
