.... have a youngster that can go 16 weeks between trims?

Had Bella's feet trimmed today by the farrier and worked it out that she hadn't had anything done since 20th August

Took very little off today but did all 4 feet this time

Anyone else find this?

Bella is 15 months old if that makes any difference

my boy went until he was 3 to have his trim, well i say trim actually they were shaped and had shoes on. his feet never grow.

my 19month old gelding has not had a trim since may!

his feet look great not long cracked or anything, everytime farrier comes he checks them and keeps saying nope not this time next

sometimes youngsters do slow in there growing during the winter and that includes feet etc. just make sure that the vitamins and minerals are at the correct levels. i always feed pink powder and this way i am assured that they recieve everything that they need even if they dont need a lot of hard feed. x
