my sec d was clipped in jan and went that kind of mousey colour blacks do when clipped, but she STILL has browny patches on her from where the summer coat hasn't come through yet! Is anyone else's the same?

Big black Hanoverian on my yard has only just finishing losing his coat and he had a blanket clip through winter. It had gone the mousey brown colour too. Took a lot of work with a shedding blade (judging by the regular masses of black fur on the floor!) and now he's out 24/7 with no rug the rest has come off too.

Weather is making all the horse's coats go crazy!

Mine still has a little bit of coat to come off they don't know if they are coming or going with this weather!

My chestnut cob still has a fluffy belly :( . Im having a blood test taken today to check for Cushings, just in case, but its nice to hear that others are still holding some of their winter coat (puts my mind at rest a bit!)

My black horse still has a distinct line between where he was and wasn't clipped (trace clip). He doesn't seem to be moulting any more though and his coat isn't super thick so I think it is more that the new coat isn't quite through?

He is coming in after lunch though as he is getting really sweaty in the afternoons (weirdly not at mid day) and I am off to buy him a nice reflective fly rug today :)
