Put them on my boys yesterday arvo as it's been pretty overcast and was threatening downpours.......was going to keep them on tonight aswell - seeing as i have two wimpy TB's!

Just wondered if I was the only one?

I have seen lots with lightweights, some naked and 4 with fly rugs ... 2 of them mine

yeah mine are out 247 at the mo so haven't taken their rugs off yet. Oscar doesn't mind the rain but Ty stands shivering under the tree - such a baby!

It's been raining all day yesterday and all day today, and it's quite chilly. I've been wearing a coat and my (fully clipped) horse has a lightweight t/o on. Where's the sun gone

i've got m/w on 2 of mine. One of which is my TB who feels the cold (we're on top of a hill and its quite windy) and the other being my 40 yr old cushings pony who has recently been clipped. The other 2 are naked

Old boy has been back in his lightweight for a few days having been naked for a week or two. He really doesn't hold any weight if he gets cold and wet but he is still out day and night.

Cob and mare & nearly-a-yearling are still naked and out 24/7...

My bestest ever buy, that has bankrupted me

, was my mobile field shelter .... they just love it and spend so much time in there, so it stops me worrying if the weather is horrid .... the two of them sometimes remind me of one of those weather things, where a lady comes out with an umbrella when it's raining and on the other side the person goes inside or something like that (sorry I think I have lost the plot!!

thought i was the only one! Oscar doesnt mind rain but weight drops off him and don't want that to happen now that I've got it back on him.....Ty is just a big whimp period!

My boys have trees to shelter under but I'd love them to have a field shelter - don't really work in a herd environment though I guess!

Too much grass for 24/7 turnout yet!
Tho last few days during the day she's been out in summer sheet and light weight turnout!

too much grass for 24/7 turnout! our yo says we dont have enough grass for 24/7 turnout so ours are still in at night but no lightweights on just yet.

My 2 have got lightweights on atm but have had their winter rugs on overnight once or twice this week. They've got 2 trees to shelter under, a field shelter & a bit of hedge.

Was just contemplating sending all my rugs away for cleaning/repair as none of them have got all their straps, etc, but now the weather's gone poo again.

Yes ours have L/Ws on, more to keep them clean than anything else (I have a show tomorrow) ours are out at night. It’s been bucketing down all day here, blooming weather!

My girl has her M/W on, shes out 24/7 now but its so windy and rainy! Left her with her lightweight on the night the weather turned and she was shivering the next morning

Wimpy TB's for you.

Feel much better now! Checked them about 3 and neither were hot but think it's due to the brisk wind we've had in Surrey all day.....oh well, I guess a lw can't hurt....

Tarquin has his LW on but only because he was full clipped and I want to show him so he is never completely naked unless is goes above 20'C. I've just bought him a smart Bucas Sunshower and love it to pieces. Murph is naked as he is retired now and fat anyway.
