Not recently - Dizz and a couple of others had it a couple of months ago.

She had white opaque a few days ago and was quiet and a bit sluggish, so a short ride (stopped when it was noticed, apart from cooling off), Bute and a couple of days off and it appears to have cleared up. So long as it's gone tomorrow will ride and see how she's feeling.

Yes as someone at yard got a horse back from irland along with 5 others. 3 out of the 5 had it. The one he had was one of them. My horse got it same time as another horse at yard got it. Vet thinks it was flu. Would not mind , but my horse had not long come back from vets after colic op. She not long come off the anitibiotics to be put back on them. His horse had to be put out in field for 2 weeks and have anitibiotics, but he had already been patting other horses on yard.

Fany had it in October, so much snot and coughing they thought the worst, did loads of tests and basicially decided she had a cold! She is all p todate with her flu and it was not that. But antibiotics soon cleared it up, so all's well as they say.

it seems to be rattling its way around west cornwall too. we have five horses and one has been on antibiotics for five days as he was wheezy and coughing. He is always on shavings and soaked hay anyway. Then some of the others just seemed 'off colour' some with a bit of a cough and others with a little nasal discharge they felt a bit low too. I discovered that two other peoples yards have exactly the same thing and they had their vet out who couldn't find anything, so a bit of a mystery. We are all up to date with flu and herpes vacs.

Dunno, vet said very small amount of fluid on lung but ok to ride, the vet is the expert so I go with their recommendation, another one off colour coffing snot this morning, mine had a bit of a cough riding this morning, but rode fine and was well up for a canter along the river with 2 friends.

mine was very off colour before Xmas - vet took bloods and diagnosed virus (very low white blood count). No treatment other than not to be worked. He will re-test early january. None of the others at the yard seem to have been affected.
She had no snot, just very lethargic, picking at food and seemed a bit 'out of it'. She was also unsteady on her feet when standing tied up and kept shifting her weight, but was sound in walk. I originally thought laminitis but vet hoof tested her and there was no reaction and no raised pulse so this was discounted. It was very worrying at the time as the symptoms could have been for much worse possibilities. I thought it might have been poisoning by something she'd eaten (we are near a landfill and sometimes gulls roost on our field). I don't think she's quite right yet but loads better than she was. PS the tests showed her liver and kidney functions were normal.
Fingers crossed her next tests are ok for white blood cell count.
Hope all yours get well soon too.

Seems to be quite a bit of it about at the moment.

Couple incl Mr T at my yard have what seems to be a virus of sorts, slightly raised body temperature, loose droppings but not diarrhoea like, no cough's or snot or wheezing yet they are all up to date with vac's, and area bright and alert in them selves and certainly eating and drinking well.

Do not think this weather is helping much.

Hope yours all get better soon
