I try to be kind to my horse (who is wintering out this year) and keep him nice and cosy with a neck cover (LW before anyone freaks out lol) and he looks like I am trying to garrot him.

Bloomin horse!

I only put a neck rug on my horse if his neck is fully clipped and thats only when its p****ng it down. He doesnt mind the neck but i have to make sure it is loose on him because he gets swollen glands sometimes if its to ''snug''.

I totally don't know if i should persevere with 'making him like it

' or if i should just give up? Don't want him to drop loads of weight and don't want to have to bring him in?

My horse is a weirdo too - you are not alone!!

He is an older boy so I thought I was being nice with wrapping him up - he CLEARLY had other ideas as everytime I put any rug on with a neck he immediately bites at the shoulders, and is in a grump until it is taken off and a 'neck-less' one put on!! That told me!!!
