I thought Elvis was the kind of horse who didn't like to get his feet dirty let alone the rest of him... Oh how wrong I was!

Anyone else with grubby pony pics?

Oh dear, I think someone told him he was going to a party this weekend! They love getting in a state before an important competition! He looks like he has lovely markings under all that mud, is he young?

My grey looks the same... Is it too early to clip out and cover in full neck turnouts??!??? Reminds me why I will never ever ever get another grey, they only look clean for 2 hrs after a bath!

Poured with rain here so now the red earth that's he's had rubbed in to his coat over the last few weeks is leaching out of his coat in pink streaks, (coloured tri-coloured cob normally) most attractive (not)

I'm lucky in that I don't have mud as such here, just dirty grass (kinda) but with a pony who's greatest desire is to be a poobald I have invested in shares in Fairy liquid and get through half a bottle at least every time he has a bath!

I don't get that much mud :D

We have sand - they roll, they shake, they get clean - love it :)

When I did keep the horses (white ones) in what could have doubled for a rice paddy (Wales, say no more ;) ) the power hose was my friend :)

We had a very wet night...got up to field this morning and spotted tell-tale skid marks and general churning of the ground...so there's mine with thankfully mud dry on his body but legs lovely pinky/brown wet mud still from the obvious charging about so quite a lot of grooming required before I could ride. His field companion? Spotless, just a little bit dirty on his legs where they'd splashed through the muddier bits. How come?! Not fair.com.
