Bodey Cob had his first bath of the year today as it’s lovely, sunny and warm day down here in Kent. The only question is will he stay clean for Show Jumping tomorrow, probably not!?!

The white bits actually look white, as opposed to slightly yellow, yeah!

So anyone else give their neds a bath today or am I just a very cruel mother?

Bathed two, one really good chestnut filly ♥
One grey/yellow looked really good for 5 seconds.. then rolled!
It was good to get them clean and dust free :)
Harmony was an angel and appreciated it at least!

Yes! Tara had her first bath since being with me today. Wasn't sure what she'd make of it, but she actually seemed to enjoy it..... and rolled immediately after!!

We're trying mane pulling tomorrow.... she WILL be a beautiful shiny, well-groomed horse!

Yep, all scrubbed up and ready for..... absolutely nothing!! I really need to get my a$$ in gear and enter some competitions!!!

Yey!! I bathed both of mine!! One is off to a sponsored ride tomorrow, the other is my retired old mare who frankly just looked disgusting. Both looked amazing - however, they were both soon in disgrace and no longer than 30 seconds after they were both turned out, they of course both got down and rolled!! Retired mare who is incidently grey, pretty much looks the same colour as my chesnut mare. Oh well - at least I tried!!

I got back from riding club to find most people from the yard bathing their horses this afternoon! So long as they don't all want to bath next week when I'm preparing for a big show....

Yep! Rio had his first bath since he arrived because he was so scurfy and minging! Looked like an advert for head and shoulders :) and if it stays nice dylan will beup for the same treatment tomorrow!

Bet Rio took it all in his stride, didn’t he? Do you borrow a step ladder to get to the top of Dylan, lol!?! :D:p

Hate to admit it but think we have found something he doesn't like :) he was fine on the front half but got a bit handy with the back legs when we were doing the top of his bum etc but did chill out after a while :) Dylan loves a bath ,drinks out the hose and drops his head right down so it runs all over his face strange animal! and yes there maybe some sneaky mounting block use :) :) bet bodey looks soooo smart - is it badgers turn soon? :) :)

I’m leaving Badger to Harriette, he is all hers now, if she wants to bath him, she can. Bodey does look smart, nice to get the white bit white, not sure they will be in the morning though.

I’m sure Rio will get use to it, Bodey loves a bath too, but not overly keen about it going over his face, but think that’s because it distracts him from eating, he, he.

I'm sure he will to be fair to him he has no hair and is still a bit skinny so it probably felt horrible to him - bless :) I used to have a grey mare and used to love that feeling after bathing her - she always came up lovely :) Where are you off sj ?

Yeah! I bath Red today :D He doesn't mind his legs being done but I was chasing him with hose while his lead rope got shorter and shorter as he ran round in circles whilst I was attempting to bath his body :p He's such a dim wit :) But looking lovely and smart with his plaits and shiny coat ready for SJ tomorrow, my first show in TWO months :o

Oh we had a grey mare, but even after bathing she still had a slight yellow/ orange tint to her. Bless her, she is happy retired being a bog horse now. It must have felt odd to him.

We are off to Whiteleaf, never been there before, so will see what it’s like. Do you know it?

My old girl had a bath on Thursday, and was clipped today :) The grey pony is pretty clean anyway at the mo, and was groomed within an inch of her life today by a friend of mine who hasn't had any horsey time for ages :) A lovely day of pony pampering in the sunshine! :D
