Not sure if it's because it was super warm for two weeks, or if my horses are just pathetic, but I didn't rug yesterday for the expected rain due to the fact that it wasn't going to be cold...I went to feed them after work and3 out of the 4 were visibly shivering, legs shaking, desperate for their dinner!
No shelter were we currently are so dried them off as best I could and threw some lightweight turnouts on and gave some hay for which they seemed extremely grateful!
Ok one is an overly pampered TB, but the others are hardy little ponies albeit with fairly thin coats. The only one that didn't seem to care was the overweight ISH - she didn't bat an eyelid!
Anyone else got pathetic ponies at the minute?
