My boy looks like he has swallowed a whale in the last couple of days! I think it's the sudden rush of Spring grass which is very late this year! Can't believe how much he has put on in two days though! He is now on a diet! :o :p

I recoiled at my boy the other day, he looked in foal!
Ours are still in at night else I'd be thinking about splitting the paddock, think he'd just gotten a bit munch happy :o

Yes!!! I noticed when I brought my boy in today. Literally over night!! I haven't ridden for a few days which may not have helped. My mare is ok tho

I certainly have noticed a change the last couple of days... Ben now has a small handful of his feed to add his supplements too.

Yes, I've been caught out for the first time in years! Managed to get through winter at a good weight for coming in to spring and within a week the track system has had to be put up, feeding hay instead of grass and I've asked to borrow some sheep. Roll on a good dry spell to slow the grass down a bit!

Yes!!! I have struggled to keep her weight on through winter, pouring tons of feed down her. Now its almost as if she is a puffer fish that someone has prodded, she has literally just gone 'puff' :D

Yep! Bob looks like he's in foal from certain angles! All hard feed has ben cut out and I've upped his exercise! If that doesn't beat the bulge then he will be muzzled.

Yes - although I'm pleased to see it, in Jan I was almost feeding my companion pony £5 notes, Feb I wondered seriously whether it was fair to keep him going being so lean as nothing I fed him made any difference - he still looked like a hat rack.
Today for the first time I wondered whether he needs to come in for a few hours each day to keep his weight sensible !!!

Yep - purchased a muzzle for the native yesterday - I feel so mean but I'm not prepared to risk laminitis.......she got colic last year after gorging and I don't want another episode of that either. She's just wearing it during the daytime when they're out 24hrs but won't wear it when she is coming in at nights.
The TB on the other hand looks bloody fantastic! :)

Yes! My mare is built like a whippet, but was also very very fit and well muscled - but she's been off for 4 weeks due to injury and has tripled in size !!! Never seen her so huge, she's almost unrecognisable and is only going to get bigger as the weeks go on - although I think this is mostly due to the sudden lack of exercise, as she's never been much of a grazer and spends her life pacing around the field rather than gorging herself.
The two boys are both a good weight but we're always paranoid about them as they get fat on fresh air.
