Last nights winds have caused huge problems for me and my friend. Our stable and tack shed was blown away last night!!! The horses are ok I thinkalthough I havn't been up to see them yet but someone else has checked them brefly so hopefully they will be fine. And as I live on an island the ferrys are off so Im stuck here! And no-one can come over to sort out the stable! Anyone else having problems like mine?

I get spooked in the wind (the horses are fine - it's just me). Last night I was in the feed room and the door blew shut, locking me in there as the kick bolt flew over

As doors are really high I had to find a tool to knock the bolt back again and get out

Fortunately no-one was around to laugh at me

I had to evacuate my stables last night because of the storms - had gone to check horses were okay at 11.30pm and found them standing in a foot of water. Fortunately there were spare stables down at the farm so they had at least had a dry, sheltered night. Mind you, I didn't enjoy leading three crazy horses down the farm road in the dark with the wind whipping round us.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, that's brilliant, don't worry I will laugh at you!!!

I once got locked in a cupboard by a cheeky Shetland! I had to yell and yell for someone to come and let me out, that was on a Saturday so quite a few people a the yard so you can imaging the laughs they had at me!
As for the wind I am down south so although fairly windy it wasn't too bad.

HATE this weather

I can't ride the anglo when it this windy, just asking for trouble (no school)
The welsh cob is worse than the bloody hot blood, all prance snort step-on-toes
I want summer

lol good so its not just me, but really annoyed as the shelter/stables have only been up a wee while and now they are a pile of sticks as I have been told, on my way to sort it out now... hmmm it could be intresting

Schooling last night, we did collected trot/canter in to wind and extended with the wind on our backs. We also managed a lovely wind-assisted leg yield lol
