Anyone ever used Fungatrol?

My horse came out in 3/4 small lumps near her withers, which scabbed and come off with hair attached. They were a bit itchy and I washed her with nizoral every second day for a month or so and they went down. However, they have come back again and I have no nizoral left, anyone ever tried Equine America Fungatrol on a suspected fungal skin problem?

Just to add, they are very small and bother me more than her! They are also not saddle related.
 
I used it and although it is a very good shampoo I didn't find it particularly helpful with the skin problem. I wouldn't use it again.
 
Another one here who's used the ointment in the tub but not found it to be anything special. I bought in on recommendation a couple of years ago for mud fever. Other things I've tried have worked much better than the Fungatrol. Mind you, MF isn't always a fungal infection is it?!

I'm using Hypocare spray ATM and finding it superb, and it treats fungal infections too. http://www.horseware.com/hypocare/

What did you use it on? I'm pretty sure Milly's is fungal because the nizoral is the only thing that made a difference, I wonder what the anti fungal agent in the Fungatrol is.

Ingredients list for Fungatrol:

Contains: Mineral Oil, Lanolin, P-Chloro-M-Xylenol, Triclosan, Tea Tree Oil, Aloe Vera, and Vitamin E.

So it's the combined forces of the P-Chloro-M-Xylenol, Triclosan and Tea Tree Oil that treat the fungal infection.
 
Thank you so much Spyda! Maybe I'll try hypocare, besides, if it doesn't work for these damn mystery spots it will work for something else!! Wow, its not actually that expensive.

I KNOW! I bought it as an impluse buy from an ad on Horsewear Ireland website after reading the blurb and was surprised at the price. The bottle arrived, a large spray bottle and I've been thrilled with the results of using it so far. It's only early days - had it about a month now, but it really seems to be as good as they claim (for once :rolleyes:)
