My budget has increased a bit! (phew!) Have now viewed a few and now have a clearer idea of what I want (and what I don't!) It's now £3500. Which still isn't loads, but I think I have a few more options.



16hh pref ISH (absolutely no tbs!) nothing smaller than 15.2 or over 16.2

gelding (would have to be amazing to be a mare... I just never get on with them)

4-8 yrs old. MUST be broken in.

No greys. (lost last to melanomas. I doubt it would happen again, but I just can't go there)

MUST pass a vetting

It's temp is incredibly important. Must not be nervous or highly strung, but not dead to the leg!

I want a nice person to be around day to day. I like doing BD, but only to Elem level. Have no ambitions to go any higher. Enjoy messing around at home sj, xc. Has to hack out well.

Hun my 16h French trotter sounds perfect for you but sorry his not for sale :( also his has been backed but turned him away for the last few months to grow
If i hear of any I will let you know.
Shame you don't want a TB have a lovely TB gelding 13 years has raced but has been re schooled and did sj and xc but again had done anything for a few years before he came to me and I am slowly bringing him back into work.
 
Ah, forgot area!

No more than 3 hours from Southampton (in a car). That goes up to Birmingham, south wales, devon, kent....
 
The allrounder in Berkshire looks nice -----------> Is that anywhere near you? Also equine agents down South have some nice horses in (not bought from them myself but heard good things).

I don't think so, we're a realistic bunch in wales lol it does say he's blemished, but that only affects you if you want to do certain things doesn't it :) :D

LOL I just re-read the price!! :o I hoope it isn't I wouldn'tpay that for a blemished horse no matter WHAT i wanted to do with him!!!

I quite like Kip on Equine Agents. Will call about him I think.

Dont be put off in they were advertised in June! I am looking for similar type to you but do have slightly higher budget and want to bring it on to event.
I have rung about a few that were advertised in May or june and they are still for sale !!
If you go to any of the dealers could you PM me your experiences cos they are a bit further for me to travel but would do if they were recommended. Ta x
 
not sure how to put a link on and may be a bit heavier than you want but its 8 years,black,gelding,15.3,8yrs owned since a foal, done dressage,sj and xc and also hunted...just sounds a really nice horse from a good home...£3000 ono
