I've been updating on FB and forgot to do it here! Anyways - she's called Sandy now
Mum didn't like Candy and she answers to Sandy so she has a nice shiney new ID tag with Sandy on it
Still chasing cats grrrr but lacking real intent now, we think she's been taught to chase them coz she looked really confused at first when we were telling her no but she's getting the hang of it now and ony goes a few steps before coming back
She's walking well too - when she's driven somewhere for a walk she really loves it and bouces around like a pup but walking from home she doesn't like going too far and always keeps the house in sight. Bit wierd but hey-ho, she's never going to be normal now she has us lot for family
Stairs are definately not a problem - up them everynight to sleep with mum
She probably climbes them about 10 times a day coz she follows mum everywhere bless her, she's a really mummys girl
She's bonded well with Dad too though (she's learnt he's the one that shares his supper
) and he sits and chats to her when he thinks no one is listening lol
She's gained weight - she lost the fat she had and is putting on muscle instead
When we got her her back sloped quite a lot towards the tail but its much higher now and she's standing properly plus her back legs have actual muscle on them
Plus she's loving the snow
Freak!
She bounds about in it them rolls around like mad lol
She's playing properly with Yellow Dog which is sooooo cute - he's really gentle with her and they have a fab time together.
Oh, and we discovered she ADORES bones. I took some up the other day and she has hardly left them alone!
Due to the weather she hasn't seen teh vet yet, my parents live on the top of a hill so getting down can be tricky and mum is a nervous driver. Her neighbours popped round to give her a quick check (she's a vet nurse) and she reckons she's only about 9 not 11 but we'll see what the vet says
Lastly - she is AMAZING with kids
She's had them crawling all over her and apart from an initial bark when one fell on her she just gives them kisses or ignores them, she slept though my nephew using her as a foot stool
