Hi,

If you are - I would greatly appreciate some help. I am trying to trace some history on my horse (who has unfortunatly since died) who was purchased from the Leicestershire area.

I believe he ran in point to points somewhere between 2002 and the end of 2005, possibly not very many. He was TB x, so would have only have been eligable for the members races - both of which would possibly make it easier to trace him.

Unfortuatly I do not know the name which he ran under, or who owned/rode him, which i realise is not a great help.

Would anyone happen to have any old meet cards, or possibly ideas where I could start looking (I have already emailed P2P website email address)

Thanks

What year would he have been out hunting with the Quorn (might be able to trace him by looking at photos on some of the photographers sites!) I live in Quorn Country but hunt with the Cottesmore and I know a lot of people in the area so I may be able to help you! :)

Hi there, thanks very much for your kind offer.

I would think hunting between 2001 and 2005. Here is a picture of him:

He has one white sock on the near hind. I suspect he did some whipping in at some point (he used to get in a right tantrum when I took him out hunting, and he couldnt be near the hounds!) He is 16.3, looks like a well built NH TB type. Very greedy, hates grey horses, and has a perchant for kicking anything that gets to close to him out hunting.

He looks lovely. :) You could try emailing the photographer Nico Morgan (he is very popular in our area and takes a lot of the hunting photos) to see if he has any photos of the Quorn Hunting during these days. What is his name? I will ask about for you then and see if anybody remembers him. :)

I live right on the border of the two hunt countries, so to speak - will have a chat with a couple of friends who train P2Pers and see what they can find out - how old is he, and does he have anything else memorable about him (can't very well ask if they remember a bay with a white star! )

FBG - that would be fantastic.

Is now called Henry, although not that may have changed. I dont know his "posh" name, else his history would probably easier to trace.

He is about 14. Only other things that may be "memorable" about him is that I would guess his jumping may possibly have been a bit erratic - he would have days when he would be really good, and days when he would be really bad, dependant on what mood he was in.

Out on a hack he likes jumping at nothing, and then trying to spin around to go home. Doesnt like lorries, being caught, wheelie bins or doing any hard work.

He was probably sold of to someone cheap as a project.
