as above, my horse is ready to come home from Liphook horspital and i would like to go and pick him up (he has been there for 8 days)..
i have a little lorry and vets said roads round there are quite clear and they have had several lorries/trailers come into the horspital.
normally i would go on the selbourne road but apparently it is not that great (and is quite hilly) so i am looking at alternative routes..
thanks muchly

I live right next to the A325 but in between farnham and aldershot . I *think* the main roads are okay , it when you get into the residential areas they ahvent been gritted :/

My horse is at Liphook waiting to come home as well. I had thought that I may pick him up tomorrow BUT my husband has just called me to say one of his work lorries is stuck near Liphook as there is a car its roof. The lorry driver said the roads are deadly!!

I just do not know what to do as there is a weather warning for Tues/Weds of more heavy snow which includes Liphook!!

We have to get back to West Sussex & although our roads are not supposed to be as bad, the single track hilly lane back to the yard is terrible. Oh what do we do???

Let me know if you collect your horse and what the road to the horsepital is like.

Good luck xx

My friend went and picked up here baby from liphook on Saturday and she managed ok she took the 4x4 and trailer. The roads are pretty clear all the way there it was only when she got back into ash green area that they were icey!!

thanks for your replies people!!

glad to say i made it to Liphook and back safely and Andy is back home!!

the road leading to the horspital is not clear of snow but is passable, i just drove v slowly! went via A roads (avoiding Selbourne B road), it took a bit longer but the roads were clear.

thanks,
