Anyone go riding in the Pentland hills?

If so and you travel your horse there, where or earth can you park?! I can't find anywhere on the east side that can accomodate a car and trailer! One carpark maybe if empty (likelihood of that small!) but the rest have nowwhere I would fit!! Grrr!! What is the point in promoting horse riding in the pentlands if nonone can get there?!!!!

There is a layby on the A702 at the bottom of one of the tracks but I'm kinda thinking that might not be the best idea!!!!!

Wouldn't recommend the lay-by on the A702 - one scary road!

Have you tried one of the car parks along by the Flotterstone Inn. I've had a lorry in there.

Me sometimes.

The fields at the yard i am at are the ones next to the laybys on either side of the road. Definately wouldn't suggest undloading there its an awful road.

The main problem with getting up the hills is that the bit where we go onto the fields is always so muddy.
