Anyone go to Advances in AI lectures at Willesley on Tuesday?

Did anyone go to these lectures? I have heard pretty negative feedback, that the lectures were poor, it was badly organised and the whole event was organised for the sole purpose of promoting a couple of studs/AI centres, and a supplies company who shall not be named in case admin gets tetchy.
Any comments?

I was going to go, glad I didn't now. Think I know which AI centre they may of been promoting. Did they not talk about the advances then?

Agree with above it is a far enough treck for me and i wanted to go but just ran out of time.

From what I have heard, the speakers were poor. The lectures were not up to date, and lots of references were made to "those studs". Also, the "supplier" spent a lot of time bigging themselves up...
If I had travelled to go to it I would NOT have been very pleased! Anyone who did go, please let us know what you thought!

Sounds very negative!

I am surprised, I went to a lecture day last year and was very impressed with both the speakers and the organisation of it.
