anyone go to the VWH team chase today? rumour has it a bad fall there??

Hi,

I was told there was a really bad fall at the team chase, a girl in a critical condition, just wondered if anyone knew what happened and if she was ok?

I never like to believe rumours but apparently she died, but i only heard this through the grapevine. I really hope this is not the case.

I also heard a horse was PTS.

sounds like a bad day....

anyone else hear anything?
 
Sadly its true, dont know about the horse.
Scary isnt it how easy these things happen, makes me grateful for everything i have and feel bad for ever whinging.

RIP rider- thoughts are with her family
 
A lady name Jo died from a friends team, a horse belonging to the friend also had to be PTS. Dont know details just saw a lovely message on facebook sending love to the family xx
 
I live opposite where the event took place and keep my horse at the farm where it was being held.....i think it happened over a tyre fence. The awful thing is that they go so fast when competing in team chases that there is so little room for error if the horse catches a toe on the fence as i think this is what happened as it was a rotational fall. Poor girl, i feel dreadfully sorry for her family and also for her teammates who must have seen it all happening. Really awful. A loss for words.....
 
i was at the one last week were my friends horse got PTS and then this one its very very sad and only 2nd week into the season :(:(

My friends were there yesterday and they are still in shock :mad:
