Anyone going to Lauderdale, from edinburgh direction, for this tuesday's (23rd) autumn hunting?

Friend and I were all orgainsed to go (day off work, hunt contacted, trailer orgainsed, tack cleaned, jods and jacket washed, haynets sorted etc etc) and she's gone and broken her ribs :( We were taking her trailer but I can prob organise insurance to take the big trailer instead but it's not worth the fuel trapsing all the way down there with a big high-powered gas guzzler and just one ikkle pony in it

SOOOOOOO, anyone else going or want to go and wants to share a lift? I either need a lift (for an exeptionally well-behaved little cob) or can offer a lift (to a well-behaved horse). I'm in Midlothain and would be going along the bypass and down the A68.

Sadly I have boring friends who either work normal hours or apparently don't have a death wish (and have idiotic horses...........)

Got trailer sorted, just need someone to share with to make it worth while.

Phoned huntline a little while ago and currently says they don't know where yet! Hope it's going ahead mounted!

Directions are on their facebook page. I seem to remember a great day from there last season.
Unfortunately I have to work weekdays but may be up for a diesel share on Saturdays.
Poor Jo. Tell her I'm asking for her. x

If you've never hunted before, the 1st day is free, I believe. Think it's normally about £65 a day but I will buy a book of 6 tickets and I think that works out under £50 a day. Just ring the secretary and they will give you all the info.

Well, that was an epic fail!!!! Went wrong from the start.

Worked the night before and finished well after midnight, not 10pm as expected. Therefore only couple hours sleep.

Went down to get the box early and found friend hadn't removed all the junk from it (been used to store horsey stuff). Had to spend half hour moving stuff :(.

Got to pony to find him in other field (had left him in dry bit over night) and COVERED in mud so needed hosed off.

Finally got going with all the 'spare' time I'd left gone, only to remember 10mins out that I'd left the bridle bag at home, so no bridle

Rushed back, grabbed spare synthetic bridle and got caught in traffic (now rush hour).

Hummed and harred about turning for home but decided to try and make it, and arrived just in time to see horses just disappearing over the hill.:( What a waste of a journey. :( Very dissapointing.

On the plus side the place was dead easy to find!

So we went to the beach instead on the way home

macM (guessing you're chris!?) Jo not too bad and able to ride but not up for hunting sadly. HOpe she heals quickly! Norty dusty for running away across the lawn and making her chase her and slipping!

Lift sharing would be amazing! I can do some weekends but Jo can't so someone else who wants to go, and share lift, would be fab!
