Anyone going to / been to Eland Lodge adult camp?

Anyone been to Eland Lodge adult camp before? Or is anyone planning on going this year? Will I be ok going on my own? I fancy having someone to hack with etc, but none of my friends are going. Will there be people for me to be-friend? I sound like a loser?! haha.
 
I'm going for the first time this year. I'm cheated though and one of my friends is coming with me!!! We are perfectly friendly and approachable though! :)
 
I've just been looking on the website and reading about it, sounds right up my street actually and looks like it could be a great fun, only I'd have to hire some transport to get there, but I'm up camping, although 4 hours in the saddle everyday....:eek:
 
I guess from the description its 3-4 hours a day, for all 3 days? Anyone got a break down of what the schedule is? My friend was considering coming with me, but she's saving her a trailer instead. I was going to borrow/hire a trailer and get my dad to drive me there, as I don't have my B + E licence and hiring a 3.5 tonne is £100 a day.
 
Went to similar thing elsewhere on my own (v brave) and met the nicest and most supportive people ever.

Actually think quite nice to go on you own as you are more approachable and if no one is on your wavelength then at least the Dizzy one will keep you entertained!
 
I went to this last year and will be going again this year. In short the three days are basically training to get you ready for a one day event on the last day.

The first evening you go on a massive group hack round the cross country course and round woods and tracks etc. Second day you have 2 hours tuition in one of the three disciplines in the morning then a break for lunch and another 2 hours in the afternoon. There are lots of demos and course walks and the food provided is awesome!!

The final you have your last 2 hours of tuition, have lunch and then do your one day event.

I had a fabulous time but was shattered by the end of it!!

Edited to add that I went on my own but everyone was very nice!
