So anybody going this year, to compete or just watch?
Am going to be bringing my 6 year old Spanish stallion to do the iberian ridden and in hand classes on Wednesday, its only our second year together and due to ridiculous transport costs also the second show of the year, its also by far the biggest show ive ever competed at so to say im bricking it is an understatment! Before anyone says i know NFS isnt the place to be competing on a younster with low mileage, but theres just so few shows with iberian classes thesedays and we did have a warm up show planned last weekend, but the weather was so bad we didnt go in the end.
Am looking forward to it just hope he behaves, also going to do it in traditional spanish tack and dress and got my boyfriends family coming to watch, so if it goes pear shaped it will be pretty spectacular! Anybody thats around on the wednesday and wants to say hi or offer moral support please feel free, we wont be hard to miss ill be on the bay pony in my sig that will mostly be spooking, leaping and going everywhere sideways:D

I think we are going on the wednesday, I want to take loads of photos as reference material for future paintings....never painted a spooking iberian horse before... ;) :)

Good luck! Hope the weather improves a bit!

We're going Wed (my friend sold her pony last year which is going to be in the NF ridden class). I expect we'll watch the iberian class so we'll cheer you on!!! :)

I'll be the red head with the German Pointer!! ha ha :)

Last year the Iberian class was in one of the rings tucked away from the main area so if they do the same this year it shouldn't be too hectic for you. It's right next to the horse lines walk way so you don't have to trudge across the show ground either :)
I go to all three days of the Show every year; it's only 4 miles up the road from me :)

Yay! we are on holiday there next week so I'm going to drag husband and child round with me (I swear I did NOT realise this when we booked our holiday!)

Thanks guys be good to see you there, hopefully the weather will hold out for once as have booked a stable for the day so can get out and enjoy a bit of the show myself this year.
I think we're in the North ring for both classes at 10.30 and 12.15, much better than last year when the inhand was in show ring 2 which is much smaller. Although the downside is the ridden class is the same time as the motorbike display in the adjacent ring, just what i need with a horse thats scared of his own shadow:D
Mildred, have got loads of photos of my boy both at shows and at home, not nearly professional quality but if you want any for practice just let me know.
Lars im dragging my boyfriend out of bed at 5am to be my groom for the day, on the basis that he'll enjoy it as the show isnt JUST for horsey people;)
