Did our 1st XC schooling session at Tweseldown yesterday and had a fab time. Pony is a green 6yr old who's not done much in life and spends most of his time being scared of his own shadow but he was super. Finished up with the sunken road, the water complex and some of the Intro fences, which considering I'm a big wuss was quite amazing! Will show you the pics when I get them - just waiting for Scarlett's OH to put them on disc for me - he has a fab camera and took loads of great pics. Anyway, I have well and truly got the XC bug but obviously cant go schooling on my own, so is anyone going anywhere soon that I could tag along with/know of any clinics going on in the area? Want to get some more schooling in before entering some HT's. Sod the stressage - I'm converting to eventing (only slight snag being the SJing at the moment - still only just got him convinced that a trot pole wont swallow him up alive!)

I may go to Coombelands soon - but probably not until after the event as I think the course will be closed. I have a huge 4yo, who is jumping at home over 3ftish fences but needs to go in water etc...

i'm keen to go anywhere whenever TBH - got the bug and want to keep jumping while my confidence is up! pony loved the water - happily trotted and cantered through it no probs. he seems especially keen on steps up and down. we didn't really have issues at anything where i rode him forwards - we just need more practice.

Star / Gucchi B - have either of you done the Minley ride before?
I am thinking of taking my very green 4yo and would like some very small jumps (think under 2'3") - do they have anything that weeny?

hiya. not done it before, but schedule suggests that there will be jumps of all sizes and if it's anything like hampton or frensham then there are normally plenty of baby ones around 2ft.

I've decided to go to Barbury Castle ride on 5th now, but will definitely look to come out drag hunting a couple of times with sandhurst **mental note to self to get meet card **
