We went for a hen weekend to the Gower with the horses. We stayed at a cottage owned by Clyne Farm, which is a kind of activity centre and riding school as the rest of the hen party hired horses for a ride. The cottage was OK and had a paddock outside and was very secluded, in the middle of a wood. It was also close to the common and to the beach so great riding. But the highlight had to be fetching an indian takeaway on horseback!
I'm not sure I'd take the family there as it wasn't the cleanest of places, although the cottage was huge and I would consider going there again with friends. As with all beaches though you need to check when they let you ride with horses. I think we were on the mumbles beach and it was May I think so I guess there's no limit there. Or you could try around Pembrey in Llanelli as I know they allow horses there too.
Hmmm, I used to work at Clyne, I would say what I think of the way it's run and the owner but I'm afraid I would get a row from admin as my comments would be considered defamatory...
Oh dear...... if you used to work there, and this is going to sound like an off-the-wall questions, was there any reports of those cottages in the wood being haunted? Only on the Monday morning I heard footsteps coming down the stairs even though everyone else was in bed, followed 10 mins later my a rellay loud knocking on the door with nobody there
Scared the bejessus out of me I can tell you...... but might have all been in my head given we were in Blair Witch territory
