Have managed to borrow one of these to try on my mare and it fits which is rather odd as the Warrior light weight turnout in the same size didn't fit her at all!?

Anyway, I am going to get one as its gorgeous (going for the pink one), so just wondered if anyone has one and what they think of it?

Thanks

Sorry, just poking my nose in as I love the Vikings - how weird that the heavy one fits but the lighter one didn't? BTW Does it have the surcingle-style fastenings at the front?

It's very bizzare isn't it?

Yes, it has got the surcingle style front straps but as its pink and gorgeous I don't mind!

Found it quite cheap on www.redrae.co.uk although I don't know if they do the pink, they have something called 'Morello' so going to ring and ask if that is a fancy name for pink.

Ignore the bit about the pink, they appear to have updated the page and you can definatley get the pink. It's in their pics too and I really really want it!

I don't have the Viking - but have got the Bull Dog in both lightweight and medium and it is absolutely FAB!! Love it.

I don't know what to get now, I've found the Viking 400gram for £239 and the Goliath 450gram for £259.

I guess for the sake of £20 I should go for the Goliath? But the Goliath doesn't come in pink! Although once its covered in mud the colour becomes irelevant.

Decisions decisions...

You are slightly more limited with the heavier one - just coz he may get too hot in it and then you can only use it on really cold days...

True, but I've got a couple of rugs already that are 370grams and I normally have to put under rugs under them as she does feel the cold.

Although I do think the 400gram would probably get a bit more wear. And its pink!

Still not quite decided though...

Got our big chap a Fal Viking 400 gm last winter in red - his rug is 7ft 3" and he looks super smart in it. It is the only make big enough for him. Highly recommend! He has got the stable rug equivalent as well - which is in a sort of Burberry check - he looks a real cool dude in that.
