I think I've been watching too much Ceasar Millan and love them but want to know whether they are prone to any problems ie skin complaints.

Luxating patella, breathing issues and spine problems can come up. As far as skin issues, the white ones seem to be more prone to them (though this seems to be true of many Westies, JRTs, and white Pit Bulls that I come across).

They're an extremely popular dog here in NYC. They have great personalities and most are excellent with dogs, kids etc. If you really want one, do your research. Before I got Stella (Boston Terrier) a Frenchie was on my list, and while BTs are not without their own health complaints, I decided to go Boston because they are healthier, more intelligent and their lifespan is considerably longer.

You'd be shocked at just how many BTs and Frenchies there are in rescue, particularly BTs. People think they're purse dogs, but Bostons need loads of playtime; they were born to fetch and love chasing other dogs.

This is just one breed rescue and it's always jam packed.

That has shocked me to think that many dogs would be in rescue. I have a british bully and there are never any of those in rescue that I have found. Still love 'em though.
