Anyone got a Gatehouse H.S.1 riding hat?

I am thinking of buying an HS1 riding hat but no shops near me sell it, so I am going to buy online.

Someone told me that the sizes come up small and I should buy one size bigger than my current hat, which is a Champion Ventair.

Anyone got one and can advise if this is right? It's an expensive purchase and I'd rather not have the hassle of sending it back and waiting for a replacement.

My daughter has one, you really need to try it on rather than going on sizing as they don't fit everyone.

You need to try them on really. I am the same size in an HS1 as in other brands, and I love mine, but some people find they don't fit their heads at all well.

Have you rung your local places and asked if they can get them in or not? I only ask as I looked on the website for a stockist, drove miles as my local place wasn't listed, and it turns out they stocked them all along, so I'm not sure the website is terribly up to date.

I tried one on in rideaway, sizes came up big, i took a smaller size than my normal charles owen one. Not much help, eh?

didn't fit my daughters head shape at all she has a ventair which fits perfectly.

You may fin your local retailer, particuarly if a fairly big one, will order one or two sizes in for you to try - I'd certainly recommend getting it properly fitted.

I tried on my friends one, same size, but odd fit, it sat on the back of my head. CO J3 fits perfectly.

I would try one... my head doesnt fit the champion ventair one but the Gatehouse is a perfect fit

Well, my HS1 is a 57cm, and my Charles Owen showjumper XP is a 58cm. Sorry, that won't help I'm sure!!

Mine is a size bigger than my ventair too. It fits really well though
