Hello,
Thinking of getting this for my two labs to share and wondered whether anyone had bought one of their beds before.

http://www.pet-dreams.co.uk/belvedere-elegant-xxl-257-p.asp

It seems to meet my requirements - wipe clean, raised edges, soft enough for my older girl and looks reasonably tough for my two year old (although she's crated at night and when we go out, so supervised use only ;)).

At the moment we just have one of those hard plastic beds (meant for one, but both share!) with a washable padded cushion. But the cushion gets disgusting and after a few washes the inside all balls up and my older girl gets really cross trying to get it comfortable (and smelly) again. So I was trying to find something I can wipe down rather than have to wash in the machine. The dogs are in our front hall, so I'd like it to look reasonably smart and also not get smelly (late to dog ownership and the nose is still sensitive :D).

Thanks. :)

And this is why I need to get a bigger one. :)

The site on your link says "synthetic wool and other quality materials to ensure that your pet - however huge - never feels the hard, cold floor." which means they could be filled with anything.

I would get a larger plastic bed and use vetbeds OR get a cot mattress OR use a sofa & throws.

Thanks for the replies. I must say that I do like the look of the tuffies ones, especially the nest (we live in a old house with draughts!).

I like the fact I can use the cushion without the fleece cover which means I can give it a good wipe rather than having to wash which is more practical. The dogs are outside a lot in all weathers (horses at home) and I think it will be a lot cleaner doing it that way than with covers and things.

I use vet bed in the crate and even that gets pretty gross very quickly. It's just another thing to subject my poor washing machine to on top of horse stuff, rugby stuff and everything else.

Now trying to work out whether the XL will be big enough for the 2 of them. Even when they have 2 beds out the younger one gets in with the older one. :)
