As the title says really.... has anyone got a picture of their chesnut horse in red boots/numnah/other tack

ive seen a set off 4 red brushing boots and red saddlecloth for a good price, but just want to double check it will suit my chesntnut neddy!

thanks!
(sorry if this isnt in the right place...wasnt sure where it was meant to go!?)

It depends on the chestnut and the red

bright red on a bright chestnut doesn't look too good

red sounds like it would be horrid, green works well, and white..and my boy has London Tan tack and a caramel saddle pad so looks like a giant ginger biscuit, but it does look good on him

ive seen it work well on pale chestnuts. on bright red/orangy chestnuts i dont think it would work, if you put up a picture on the horse your thinking of putting it on it would be easier to say-its hard without seeing!

Actually my horse is a liver chestnut gelding called Mitch and he looks fab in his red saddlecloth with his name embroidered in gold.He also has a red girth.I suppose it will depend on the chestnut but my boy looks very regal in red.Sorry no pics yet, maybe tomorrow.

Love from Shella xxxx

P.S. someone else on the yard also has a red numnah on her chestnut gelding which looks a lot better than the pink one he used to have!!!!! I think Ive started a trend!!!!!

lol ok thanks for opinions... will give the red a miss

He is quite a bright chesnut, hes about the same as you boy is horseygirly. All my pics are on the other computer.

Ive got a pale blue thelwell numnah that i love that really suits him. Ive got a green one aswell but it doesnt do much for him TBH?

any other ideas for colours? Black could look ok but all my tack is brown. Ive got a white one but dont use it that much as its a pain in the bum to keep clean!

Would someone with ginger hair look good with a red dress on...? Enough said! As everyone else has said blue, green (although I think this depends on the horse), black or white for chestnuts - not much else suits.

i know a girl that has red on her chestnut and i thought it looks nice!!!????? what about that nice bright green, I cant say much as my poor boys have pink and purple!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha
