Got up at 7am to get ready for hunting, very chilly wind and sleet, which quickly turned into big flakes.

Has stopped now and hasn't settled as of yet, but as we live up in the Shropshire Hills have decided not to go hunting just in case I can't get the lorry home later!

Looking forward to a day by the wood burner and channel 4 racing this afternoon...

Keep warm all x

It's snowing in south Noryhanptonshire but it's so wet I doubt it will come to much

Think we are due some flurries Mon and Tues though

None here in the London area as of yet. I don't really want any tbh iv got work and college to get to so don't need any more complications!

The days keeps changing on when we're supposed to get snow so I'm not sure if/ when it will arrive.

It certainly feels like it could!

It will snow on Monday eve/Tuesday morning. Our paper bin collections were due Xmas day and New Years Day, so they haven't been for a month now - the bin is totally overflowing and the next collection is on Tues. We live on a steep lane, if it snows they don't come... Sods law it will be Tues!

had a few flakes earlier but that's it, still bleeding cold thou.. meant to start tomorrow night until Monday evening or so the BBC say :(

love a snow day so no work but really need to be mobile to get to the yard

Well think I have made the wrong call not going hunting now - no snow for a couple of hours now and looking positively bright....haven't been back outside but imagine it is still rather chilly though.

This mornings forecast said snow and sleet, but now is showing sunshine - why in this age of modern technology can they not get it right?!

I went to Tescos yesterday and they shelves were already pretty low. Checkout lady said lots of people were panic buying in case it snows! I reckon the supermarkets start these weather forecasts!

Does make you wonder!!!

Living where we do, we are always the first to get the snow, and the last for it to leave. Having been snowed in most winters we always have the feezer stocked up/uht milk etc and really annoys me when people panic buy when they live in towns and could actually walk to the shops!

However come spring I wouldn't swap it for the world....

I work at Tesco and it was a madhouse yesterday. In Essex, on a main road, in a town. The most we might achieve is a couple of hours when it is tricky on the roads. I think it is sensible for the elderly to stock up and people like me who live on a farm up a lane and the 4WD is broken down so I only have my Vectra, but everyone else should calm it.
Children very excited as hoping the schools will shut!
Nothing here yet though, just grey, cold and miserable.

Nothing here in my bit of Warwickshire, not even rain. Just dull and cold. Forecast says snow on Monday for here but that has already changed since yesterday when it said we would get snow Sunday.

I'm of the mind that we will get it when we get it

I do believe, for the first time in recorded history, that Scotland has the nicest weather in the UK! It's about +5 and bright glorious sunshine! Has been all day!
