Anyone got metal stables or field shelters?

Hi there

I may have an opportunity to get a 2nd hand mobile shelter - was concerned that it would get very hot in the summer? any thoughts?

My old stable was metal and did get hot in summer and cold in winter, plus condensation was a problem.

We solved it by lining the bottom with kicking boards with insulation behind them, we used hardboard I think which we painted. We then sprayed the roof with foam insulation and ensured that there was adequate ventilation and it worked a treat - much cooler in summer and warm in winter with no condensation.

Hi - thank you so much, I hadn't even considered condensation problems till you mentioned it!

I went to see it last night...it is perfect! I just need to find out if I can transport it without it becoming too expensive.

It already has kickboards, it is a light colour to reflect the heat and already has some integrated sheeting (like foam sheeting) to deal with the condensation. It is very very tall and airy.

Glad it sounds perfect, here's hoping the transportation isn't too expensive!
