My poor GG is just coming back into work after a kick in the field in Feb, anyway, he is now able to walk and do a bit of trot and I hope if all keeps going as planned he will soon be able to canter again. (although he does all that and more in the field!!!, I am talking about ridden work!) But been taking it slowly.
Anyway I have a young girl who was just starting to share him when this all happened, she has stayed around as she loves him to bits, although not contributing to him financially, in the hope that he would come sound which thankfully he is, she will continue the share and hopefully contribute a bit financially from July when he can do a bit more work.
She is going to share him Sat morning and one or two evenings in the week which is great for me.
BUT as a single mum I am finding it a real struggle to keep him. Obviously I have to work so although her help is great I really could do with more, and as money is tight, help with costs would be great! Do you think it's right for the horse to have 2 people sharing him (that's if I can find someone else who's a decent rider etc) and does anyone out there have more than one sharer and how does it work for you? I don't want to have to do this but he is a fantastic horse and I want to do all I can to be able to keep him.
