Hello..
Just wondered if there is anyone who can help me one eve ideally this week.
I need to move my small flock of sheep up to the yard, but due to only having one pair of legs & arms & a narrow and sometimes busy lane to contend with, I ideally need a back marker and a couple of others who can go ahead & fend off traffic & stop them overshooting the turn at the top of the lane..
I've previously managed to get the to follow my bucket very contentedly with nothing amiss but my sheepdog minded sheep is already at the yard with one thats not well so the 5 still out on the 20 acre are without their leader. They are old ladies & one youngster but all nice mannered if anything will be shy & slow and usually work best with calm helpers..
Four people would be amazing...tho if anyone near me has a working sheepdog they have been worked with dogs before & that would be easiest and we could avoid the roads that way too...
Cake on offer for helpers tho we may need to eat it before we move them so my dog doesn't take comfort in it while he waits in the car.....
I'm near the Bath & West Showground, just north of Bruton, Somerset.
Just to add I can do any time of day,but thought eves or earlies would be best as dog gets very easily stressed if I leave him(will have to -in car) so really must avoid warmer times -he has massive separation anxiety so would overheat from stressing if left on a cool day let alone a sunny one, but am as flexible as possible...just need to get the ladies in & shear them
Thank you!
