thought i would have a look today. photo is of us after the ride forgot to take one during.

the tracks are wide hard roads suitable for vehicles. they wander around the woodland. views are restricted by the trees as you would expect.
very little traffic. actually the only vehicle was running cyclists up the hill so they can go down the specific cycle routes that are in some cases suicidal, so best left to mountain bikers.
sunday afternoon was very quiet.
we rode for about 2 hours, would have been longer but i lost a shoe in the trailer on he way up. we could only walk and i was on and off my boy so as not to bother his unshod foot.
we think we could have found some canters and i would have been happy to trot on nearly all the surfaces.
only thing to watch is the car park markings send you across 2 cattle grids to park, so not a great start. so park in the first carpark and ignore the signs. then follow the main multipurpose track off to the right and you will see the green horse shoes markng the path.

terrible journey back, as Buddy could not keep his balance on he way home, must have been the lack of a shoe i hope.

hope to return there soon.
