Hi,

Following on from the various 'will he /she get any bigger' threads that I have seen recently.... anyone had a 3.5yo that didn't grow anymore ????? Currently my new boy, just turned 3yo is 17hh (insert boggle eyed smilie !) trying to convinve myself that there is hope that he will only go up another inch or two before filling out and muscling up rather than continuing to grow for another 2 ish years lol .....or should just resign myself to having to get some stilts ??

haha just get some stilts;):D
daughters pony seemed to stop growing when he hit 3 and i thought he wasn't going to make height, but over the last month he seems to have shot up another 2" he was 4 in june;)

My 3 year old is still quite bum high and I'm praying he will grow at least a couple more inches! He's only 13hh at the wither :p

My Warmblood was rising 3 when I got him. He was stood at 14.3hh then and is now 15.2hh x

2y/o that doesn't appear to be growing. Was a rescue at 18 months and owner never gave it any kind of supplement, it has the minimum of feed/hay .. like all of the horses. How can people expect them to grow without the right nutrition ?

Sorry don't really understand your post, can you expand?

My lovely little AA mare wa 15hh when I bought her aged 3.5 and she didn't grow any, I was really hoping she would but the only thing that changed was she got a little bit longer.

Thanks for your replies ! ...So, it sounds like there is hope lol.....and by the sounds of it my best bet is to stop feeding him - which will also help my bank balance ;-) ...(Just in case - Disclaimer: I am joking and this is a lighthearted thread and I am not making light of neglected horses!)
He is not croup high and has already had a little growth spurt since I've had him ..fingers crossed another inch or two max will be his limit ...trust me to buy the 'Digby' of the horse world !! (under 30 you might have to google that reference!)
