I am going to have my dress cleaned soon after my recent wedding and was thinking of having a few pics taken with the horses beforehand. The bluebells will be out in the woods soon so thought that would be a lovely setting. Does anyone have any wedding dress/horse photos they would share? Can't decide if it'll be nice or tacky!

I haven't - however as a surprise my friends brought my horse to my reception! So I have pictures of me in my wedding dress on him at the venue- I held it together for the vows and cried only when I saw him- It was the best wedding gift the yard girls could have given

If you look in the pic gallery, there are several - the ones above are stunning !

We got married on horseback in Oz, on the beach - but that's another story :)

My mother banned all dogs and horses from any involvement .
I did however sneak a picture with my dog who look horrified he was spooked by the dress .

I'm going to a wedding this Saturday; however, before the wedding I have to go and get the brides horse plaited and cleaned as she's having photos with him :)

This one means so much to me- there is no special backdrop but to have him there on that day just made it perfect

Although not sure why photobucket has cropped most of his head off!!

These pictures are gorgeous!!
I'm getting married on July 12th (he only proposed on mother's day so a bit of a rush plan job, eek!) And am DESPERATE to have my big man there. My mother doesn't want him to make my dress stink of horses but that's what a dry cleaners is for... right?! ;)

Several of my friends have had their horses at the wedding and had pictures taken on horseback. All have looked absolutely stunning. One word of caution, if your dress has hoops be very wary of the reaction it may cause (dependant on the horse of course). One friend had the bottom hoop of her dress slip over the horse's rear end and he took it as instruction to move forward slightly sharply.

i had photos taken outside the church with the stunning dapple grey i had t the time. not a photo shoot a uch. she was brought y surpris. sadly he died a year later of grass sickness.

We had our wedding in our field so the ponies were there anyway! My friends plaited my ponies mane with ribbon, he looked adorable so I couldn't resist sneaking off to snuggle him :)

He was a massive pickle about my wedding dress so hubby had to catch him...don't know why but I love this pic!

He then decided wedding dresses were ok

Then he reverted back to being a massive poser! I've got this picture blown up and it's now in our nursery on the wall :)

I love these pictures,I would love to have my pony/horse at my wedding if I ever married, hopefully my daughter will as I'm never likely to! :)
I think it looks fab, never tacky xx

It's just as well I have no plans to get married, there isn't a chance in hell that my pony would let a big white dress anywhere near him. It would be a picture of me in a field with the pony doing the wall of death around the edge snorting like a dragon! And I couldn't possibly do anything as important as a wedding without him being involved!

I would absolutely love to have my boy at my wedding next year, but my OH isnt horsey and has told me it is a day for us, not ponies :( But I will be getting some photos in my dress with him at a later date.

Same as KidnapMoss, we had our reception at home and someone plaited up my lovely boy with ribbons so I have lots of photos of mostly me and him, the OH doesn't feature much! He wasn't bothered by the dress or the marquee but I couldn't get on him due to the style of my dress!

Nursery Livi? Something we don't know about hmmm?

I did once have a photographer stop me while out riding my welsh cob and ask if the bride in his car could have some 'on location' shots with my horse. He was rather sweaty at the time as it was a boiling hot day, and his eyes went out on stalks when this white 'thing' got out of the car. Firstly I was amazed she got anywhere near him and secondly I was praying he didn't snort his dirty nose at her! I did receive a couple of me and him shots for my trouble but if it was me I wouldn't have chosen a sweaty wild eyed cob to be photographed with!

We got married last weekend at Prestwold Hall. Both of my horses were washed and brought over for some photos. I will share them (with permission!) once I've got the photos. Both horses were impeccably behaved and the two photos that I've seen are amazing. It helps that my photographer is both a wedding photographer and equine portrait photographer!

I had planned to put my dress back on and have some mounted photos taken back at the yard, but that hasn't happened due to an injury three days after the wedding/box rest! I will therefore be doing those in May :)
