Hi, my husband's horse was diagnosed as having a lymphoma and I wondered if anyone here has experience of this. I assume every case is different but I'd like to know if possible what the likely progress of the disease will be.

Yes my horse has a cutaneous lymphoma, had it removed as it was getting bigger. You need to have a blood test to see if its gone internal. My horse has been fine, and in normal work. What type is it? And where?

Hi, we're unsure where it is. He's been under the westher lately but we couldn't find anything specifically wrong with him. The vet ran blood tests and they showed that the white blood cells were low. He could have been getting over a virus but tests for that came back negative. From this, and due to his lymph glands being enlarged, the vet diagnosed cancer. She said it would likely be a lymphoma. There are further tests to narrow down the type, etc but the tests are invasive and there's no cure. Because of this we decided not to put him through the discomfort and are going to monitor him and go from there.

We're giving him supplements to boost his immune system.

Obviously we don't know how the diseas will progress in him but I wondered if anyone had experience of it.
