I am on my second pair of Original Mucks Boots which have now sprung two holes (which was great this morning wading through the mud and torrential rain). I have only had these new in March, not used through the summer and for the money a bit peeved they are falling apart. Two other friends from my yard have had similar problems with theirs too. I did have the origianl muck boots but found these lethal and slipped over numerous times in them. I decided to buy the riding boot version for the winter and these dont seem any better! Not cheap at about £70 a pair for just to use around the yard. Anybody know of a good replacement?

I have the ones you can ride in. I've had them for 2 and a bit years now. They've been stomped on my big horses and wore them all the time last winter doing the gees, wading through mud, riding and even when not riding if the weather was bad and I had somewhere outdoorsy to go.
Have started wearing them again occasionally if it's REALLY cold and they're still going strong.
Hoping my won't split or get holes in, as have heard loads of people say this has happened to them after just a few months wear. Maybe contact the store you bought them and see what they say?

I also have a pair of Hunters and so far can't fault them, they're really comfy and have super grip through mud and the dangerous area of the muck heap. with a pair of ski socks underneath they're really warm too. I've only had them 4 months though so can't comment on their durability, but they seem very hard wearing.

I had the Tyne ones for riding and although I did like them a lot I won't buy another pair as I hated it when the rubber came away from the inside leg area. This happened to my friends pair as well, shame as good boots otherwise.

Ive had both the riding ones, and the originals, I loved both, altho due to my horse having a neoprene allergy I was unable to ride in the riding ones (hence why I bought the originals). each pair lasted me over 2 years, which considering I just about live in my wellies is pretty good. I have just thrown my originals away as the sole had completly worn away, and I was beginning to do regular bambi on ice impressions in this mud!!!

Had two pairs of the original muck boots, both split, then had some Just Tog ones, also split, so in my opinion not good value for money and sick oh having trench foot once they have split, reverting back to my good old hunters which have lasted upto 5 years so long as I haven't harpooned them with a pitchfork

I used to have a pair but they split within a couple of weeks, so i exchanged them for some Le Chameau wellies which i've now had approx. 5 years and they're fab!

I have the Originals, and like OP bought at the start of this year. They were unworn from April to October because of a anklei njury I sustained but they are now lekaing.
I'm not impressed.
I bought them because I've got a paur of the jodphur boots which I must have had for about 5 years and still going strong.

I have the riding boot ones and they didn't last 3 months before the rubber started peeling off and coming away!

I still wear them and they are still waterproof but I also use them for hydroponics!!! (sp?)

I even emailed the company to show them just how poor they were and never got a response!!!
