I'm thinking of having it done but just wondered if anyone had done this and how it turned out? My saddle is structurally sound but the suede is well passed it's best, so I'd want the whole thing replacing. Had a couple of quotes and it's cheaper than buying new, plus I know the saddle fits the horse.

I read something similar about carpet cleaner, so I've tried that tonight. Will see how it looks in the morning. Will also try a specialist suede cleaner. I've consider dyeing it but I suspect the dye would come off on yer bum! May try though, before I go for the full replacement.

Well, with nothing to lose, I thought I'd try dying it! So I did. Dark brown. Looks amazing but I suspect it'll rub off. I'm going to try it with scotch guard and wear dark jods for a bit! Will post pics tomorrow.
