Anyone had their saddle widened by Heritage Saddlery?

As title really, got a lovely Ideal Podhajsky saddle that's too narrow for my boy but am absolutely loathed to part with it.
Would really love to have it widened (they have already said it's possible and have quoted me) but am interested to know how other people have got on with having this done :-)
Good or bad, many thanks.

Not had heritage saddlery do it - but I have had my jump saddle tweaked a tiny bit wider by my saddler.
A few things to be aware of - it isn't a magic fix, realistically you can only go up or down 1/2 a width fitting. Doing this will weaken the rivets in the gullet plate. Ideally the saddler should strip back the saddle to ensure the rivets are all tight before and after the adjustment, otherwise you can't be sure. Slightly loose rivets will loose their tops over time, this weakens the gullet plate and they can crack. This can happen anyway, but having the saddle adjusted on the tree does increase the chance of this. You can fix loose rivets by replacing them, just ensure your saddler is checking this regularly.

Just go into it with eyes wide open and ensure you use a saddler you trust.

Any more than a small tweak and consider having the tree changed, I don't think ideal charge as much as you'd think - about £250 if I remember rightly. More than an adjustment, but a whole lot less than a new saddle!
