anyone have any photos of running plaits?

I am doing dressage on my mums dales pony at the weekend and am thinking of doing a running plait as her mane is long and thick.
Do you think it would look ok?

I think it would look ok, i have done a few on ponies with long thick manes, so i could show, or if it was hot without having to pull the mane.

I have done a running plait on my cob before when its been really hot to keep it off his neck but just put a band at the end of the plait and left it. when doing it properly do you roll the end of the plait up or anything?

Wish i had my camera with me yesterday, 3 of the arabs were subjected to running plaits, just because...

I think it would look great on a dales to keep it out of the way for dressage. If you can get it tight all the way along the crest it really shows off their neck too.
