Anyone have Ariat Ridge Top Boots?

I'm looking for new boots to wear for riding and walking in (such as on trail rides)... have been looking for ages. Equestrian Clearance have Ariat Ridge Top boots on offer right now and they look very practical.

I read somewhere that these are more for hiking and didn't see any mention of their suitability for riding. I just wondered if anybody has a pair and if they ride in them?

I have very wide feet but have given up the mission searching for actual 'wide fit' boots and have decided to just keep trying normal pairs and send them back if no good!

I have the zip up version of these boots and am really pleased with them. They are so comfortable and supportive and I wear them to walk the dog long distances. I haven't ridden in them but purely because I have Ariat Devon Pros for riding. The zip up ones are reasonably waterproof and I just hose the mud off. I have quite wide feet and they don't feel tight at all.
