Ive just started physiotherapy at uni, hopefully going on to animal physiotherpay, but been reading up tonight and read about hereotopic bone, if found in the thighs they are known as horse riders bones.

They are accessory bone that are found in the thighs, often horse riders thighs, caused by strain upon the muscles used for adduction. The strain causes a hemorrhagic areas, which then go through calcification and then ossification.

Anybody got any of these? Just wondering how common they are..
