Had the dentist to our horse today, we moved to a new yard recently so haven't used him before (but has an excellent reputation) so he didn't know our horse. Anyway he found an area of changed tissue on her gum, which I felt and it was slightly rough. I rang my vet and the dentist spoke to him (RVC) and he is coming to have a look/feel next week but said didn't think it was anything to worry about. It may have been there for ages since before we had her or could be a slight infection. So of course I'm now worried

. I did ask if it was the C word but he said it was highly unlikely. Has anyone else had this with their horse, thanks for reading

Jason's coming on Tuesday but he said don't worry, I think dentists check more, she's probably had it for years! She's fit and healthy so it can't be bothering her. I take it Alisha is on the mend?

Yeh, she is alot better thanks. She is back out in the field which she is very pleased about! Leg was swelling a bit overnight so had three days of bute. Will reassess tomorrow once bute has had time to wear off! Hopefully will be able to ride her again on monday! Can't wait - it feels like I haven't ridden her for yonks! Has been nice to have some time on the ground with her to bond with her a bit more though. Let me know what Jason says on Tues - i'm sure it's probably nothing. Are you going to Patchetts tomorrow?
