Anyone heard of Thoroughbred horseboxes?

Yes I've heard of them. They're based near Exeter, Devon, and basically they do builds on rather than the finished item. I saw their advert (I think) in the mag that goes out to customers of Town & Country supplies. I had a look at their website, but not the sort of thing I'd want.

Don't know anything more about them, good or bad. Sorry!

Ive looked at there site, it says they are based in Cheshire so maybe another company??? No idea or experience of the Im afraid but the 3.5t look ok on the site. No idea of prices

I don't have one of their boxes, but I have seen them/ been in them.

They are different in that they make boxes useable and well build, they market are people needing a solid box with a good payload.

I would be surprised if you found another company to offer the same standard of work, with the same amount of payload.

that's great feedback thank you! I was just worried as some companies have been warning me that a greater payload brings poor quality!

Thanks again x

It could/should mean the exact opposit !!!! as the way to light constuction relies on good engineering and light/strong but expensive materials eg allumnium and caravan ply for the living, not domestic kitchen units and loads of chipboard osb ply like the crappy builders use.... ask what they use for the living and lining !!!!!

Avoid the man at all costs, I only came across this as I was searching for him because he owes me money, I worked on the horseboxes briefly and within the first few days realised he is a complete cowboy. Greg is incompetent and cuts every corner possible, he supplies the cheapest possible second hand crap from trago mills and expects a fantastic finish, he completely ripped me off and I ended up working for him for around ten days which he just will not pay me for.

the standard of the horseboxes is shocking, I believe lorries he has converted have been condemned.

Thoroughbred Horse Boxes are based in Cheshire not in the South West, go to www.thoroughbredboxes.co.uk for confirmation. They are a very good company and thier build is top class.

Mmmm, think there is a possibility of confusion here: I live near Exeter and there WAS (dunno if they're going) a company calling themselves "Thoroughbred" horseboxes; they'd advertised in local equine free-mags which was where I'd seen the advert.

Poss there is another company with the same name somewhere else?? Or maybe same company gone bust say, and resurrected/rebranded itself??

Anyone know?

Yes apologies absolutely would not want to damage a business in chesire, different company but there was a bloke started out just outside Exeter that is who I refer to. I'm sure the Chesire based company are legit
