Hiya

Am supposed to be eventing at Ardingly tomorrow. Just wondering whether they had the torrential rain that we had yesterday. I imagine the going will be too hard otherwise. I'll go and do the dressage anyway but am keen to know the likelihood of going xc!

Thanks

I work about 10mins away from S of E, and yes there was alot of rain yesterday. However, by the time I left work at 4 o/c the sun was out, and it is still bright now, so the likihood is that alot will have been absorbed in. S of E are also good with looking after their ground, so in theory you should get a good run!

Ground really pretty good there today, sjing and dressage seem almost perfect and everything is being agrivated on the xc - ground seems good although in places is poached...good luck

Competed there today. Ground perfect. They equivated the XC and SJ, and sanded in front of most of the XC fences. Such a relief after all the hard ground we've had for ages.

Oooh it's brilliant to hear that the going was good yesterday, very excited about giving the horse his first novice run. Mind you we've got thunder and lightning and torrential rain here at the moment so I hope that clears up by this afternoon!

Madhossy and Hattikins, how did you get on?

Oh that's a shame then, there were lots of skinnies weren't there. I had a very good dressage (miracles do happen evidently!), two down show jumping but that was just greenness and clear xc but stacks of time faults (it was his first one so I took him steady). So disappointed with the show jumping but very pleased overall. Only 3 show jumping clear rounds in the section so it wasn't too bad really. The ground was absolutely perfect. How lucky that the rain came at the right time.

Just Tweseldown left now and then the season is over, it's quite sad really.
