Hi all!

I am about to list my Saddle Co saddle on Ebay today, and want some advice on postage. Should it go parcel post? courier? The standard rate for postage on a saddle on Ebay seems to be £25, does that seem about right? I would post the saddle quickly, signed for, and have it insured for transit too... Any advice welcome!

I received an ebay saddle yesterday, via Royal mail standard parcel delivery, in a large cardboard box with LOTS of bubble wrap..

The sender had taped it up and covered it in handle with care notices.. Not sure if it made any difference but it arrived in perfect condition

Dobbin, do you mind me asking how much postage you had to pay (you can pm if you prefer). I have been hoarding those foam beans since Xmas to post mine!

Yes by special delivery at the post office, cost around £25 but it was a treeless so it did not weigh very much.

i second parcel to go.com, sent a saddle yesterday, got the best quote to send- on this occasion was dhl.

Not much help I know, I tried to sell a saddle on ebay and when I came to send it, the hardest thing was finding a bloody box that was big enough - what a nightmare. Luckily I realised the woman was a 30 minute drive, so I delivered it myself in the end.

I received one from germany in a fairly fragile box, it was 100% and that was by post, not courier.

Another one here uses parcel 2 go. It was DHL who picked my parcel up the very next morning after booking it. Cost £7.50.
